Women's Institute - Craft for Good Causes Yalding WI are working on * Knitted items for premature babies in the SCBU - Maidstone Hospital * Knitted squares for dementia patients who are in Edith Cavell Ward, Maidstone Hospital. These are made into individual blankets so when patients need to find their bed on a ward which all have the same covers, it makes it easier for them to find it again. * Cloth bags for personal items given to grieving relatives at Hospice in the Weald. These are square, machine made bags for relatives to take items of their loved one who has passed away home, which make it more personal than a plastic bag. Each one is unique. A sewing machine will be available for members to use every Monday & Thursday afternoon to make these. * Trauma Teddies - for children caught up in traumatic events, these teddies are made to bring comfort
